Historic Apartment Rewiring
The Challenge:
The building, dating back to the late 19th century, presented significant safety hazards due to an outdated and degraded aluminum wiring system. The client experienced frequent power outages and voltage drops. The primary challenge was replacing the entire electrical infrastructure without causing damage to the priceless, protected antique stucco and ceiling moldings.
The Approach:
We deployed a specialized team trained in historical preservation. Through careful planning and non-invasive routing techniques, we mapped out a completely new copper wiring grid. We ran conduits behind existing baseboards and utilized specialized micro-channeling where necessary, preserving the architectural integrity of the space. Finally, we installed a modern, high-capacity breaker panel with surge protection.
The Impact:
The apartment now benefits from 100% reliable and stable power distribution. We seamlessly integrated a smart lighting control system, allowing the client to manage ambiance via smartphone, blending modern convenience with historical elegance. Zero damage occurred to the historical features.
